The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (1/20) is expected to trade in the range of ย 7,160 – 7,320 points to attempt higher with the support of bargain hunters.

 

Meanwhile, on Friday last week (1/19) on Wall Street, the DJIA closed higher by 395 points or 1.05% to 37,864 points, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq Composite closed higher by 1.23% and by 1.70%, respectively. ย The University of Michiganโ€™s Survey of Consumers in the US showed a reading of 78.8 for January, its highest level since July 2021. On a two-month basis at+13,1%, sentiment showed its largest increase since 1991.

 

Last week, the yield of the 10-year ย US ย Treasury note Treasury note was last trading in the flatline of ย 4.14%, while the yield on theย 2-year Treasury bond gained 4 basis points at 4.397%.

 

 

Friday, the WTI futures fell by 10 cents to USD73.98/barrel, mainly being supported by supply concerns arising from geopolitical risk, particularly in the Middle East. ย Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed at IDR15,628 vs. IDR15,630 the previous one.
