The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (7/1) is expected to be in the range of 5,950pt โ 6,050pt ย ย to gain edge within the sideways also on bargain huntersโ support.ย Meanwhile, yesterday ย (6/30), the DJIA closed higher by ย 210 points or 0.6% to 34,503pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq ย ย ended higher by 0.1% and lower by 0.2%, respectively.
The JCI was trading as expected yesterday, to book a 0.6% gain, and mainly supported by domestic funds. Despite the still continued-decline of yield differential of Indonesia 10-year sovereign bonds during June 28 โ June 30 (an increase of 10 bp) and its US counter-part ( a decline of 3bp), the JCI recorded a net foreign outflow of IDR472.3bn. This tells that domestic economy at present, probably and hopely at about its lowest level trough, offers bargain that might not exist during a non-pandemic period.
At the other end, yesterdayย ย the WTI price closed lower by 10 cents to USD73.2/barrel , mainly supported by the lates weekly US crude ย inventories data release that saw a decline already for the sixth straight week. ย ย Meanwhile, the USDIDR ย closed ย at IDR14,542 vs. IDR14,496 the previous one.
