The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (4/8) is expected to trade between 7,070pt โ 7,180ptย to attempt higher ground and supported by bargain hunters. The JCI today is expected to be supported also by the stable and improving trend of COVID-19 new cases rate in the capital city Jakarta.
Wall Street yesterday (4/7) ended with the DJIA closed higher by 87pt or 0.3% to 34,584pt, ย while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq Compositeย closed higher by 0.4% and by 0.1%, respectively. ย In addition, yesterday the yield of the benchmark 10-year Treasury notes closed higher by 8bp to 2.66%, its highest level since March 2019 also continued to digest the latest statement from the Federal Reserve on its tightening policy.
Yesterday the WTIย price closed lower by 0.6% to USD96.0/barrel against the previous close, also on supply relief particularly due to some uncertainty that the euro zone will be able to effectively sanction Russian energy exports. ย Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed ย at IDR14,359 ย vs. IDR14,348 the previous one.
