Morning,

The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (2/23) is expected to be in the range of 6,200pt – 6,350pt to incline higher and be supported by bargain hunters.

Meanwhile,  yesterday  (2/22) in  Wall Street the DJIA closed higher  by 27 points or by 0.1% to 31,522pt, while S&P 500, and the Nasdaq closed lower by 0.8% and 2.5%, respectively.  Nasdaq’s close was mainly  dragged by techonological stocks. Majority of the technology counters  weresold on the main grounds of both sector – rotation and fear if the counters can absorp the increasing yield in US the debt market.

At the other end, yesterday  the WTI price closed higher by  3.8% to USD61.5/barrel as compared  to the previous close , mainly on supply constraint.  Heavy winter in Texas had stopped several rigs operations in the US, accounting to 2mn-4mn bpd loss of oil, which  will take time to restart to normal output level.  Meanwhile, the USDIDR  closed  at IDR14,098  vs. IDR14,085 the previous one.

We advise the following recommendations, for both trading and longer-time investment purpose.
