The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (4/21) is expected to be in the range of 5,975pt โ 6,100pt, ย to fluctuate and to incline higher supported by ย bargain hunters. ย Meanwhile, yesterday (4/20), the DJIA closed lower by ย 256 points or 0.8% to 33,821pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq ended lower by 0.7% and 0.9%, respectively.
Indonesia central bank Bank Indonesia (BI), during its Aprilโs meetingย has decided to keep the benchmark rates at 3.5%, in-line with consensus estimate.ย Also, BI lowers, the second time this year, ย its projection for the countryโs GDP growth by 20bp to 4.1%YoY – 5.1% YoY . However, the central bank revises upward its estimate for global growth to 5.7% YoY vs. 5.1%YoY previously.
