The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (6/10) is expected to be in the range of 5,985pt โ 6,100pt ย also be supported by ย bargain hunters.ย Meanwhile, yesterday ย (6/9), the DJIA closed lower by ย 153 points or 0.4% to 34,447pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq ย ended lower by 0.2% and 0.09%, respectively.
Indonesia consumer confidence index data for May this year, at 104.4pt (April: 101.5pt, March: 93.4pt) marks a second record of above 100pt (level that indicates Optimism)ย since April 2020 of 84.8ptย (March 2020:ย 113.8pt, February 2020: 117.7pt).ย This should help support the JCI meaningfully,ย in our view.
At the other end, yesterday ย ย the WTI price ended lower ย by ย 0.1% ย to USD69.9/barrel , mainly being supported by release of the US crude productions at 17.7mn bpd vs. that of the previous week of 19.0mn bpd. ย Meanwhile, the USDIDR ย closed ย at IDR14,262 vs. IDR14,271 the previous one.
