The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (10/11) is expected to trade between 6,440pt – 6,550pt to attempt higher also by support of ย bargain hunters. Meanwhile, last week ย (10/8) Wall Street ended with the DJIA closed lower by 9pt or 1% to 34,746pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq both ย closed lower by 0.2% and0.5%, respectively. The US job data for September shows unemployment rate at 4.8% YoY, better-than-estimated 5.1%, while employment growth of 194k units vs. the estimate of 500k units. The Septemberโs below-than-estimated job data were not seen as a delay factor for the US central bank to gradually start tightening, as the 3-month moving average is at 550k units, as quoted from the media.
At the other end, Friday last week ย the WTI price ย closed higher by 1.8% to ย USD79.7/barrel, the highest level since November 2014 ย mainly as supplies worries as production lags to catch-up current increasing demand. Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed ย at IDR14,225 ย vs. IDR14,276 the previous one.
