The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (9/28) is expected to trade between 6,075pt – 6,225pt to attemp higher also by support of ย bargain hunters. Meanwhile, yesterday ย (9/27) Wall Street ended with the DJIA closed higher by 72pt or 0.2% to 34,869pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq both ย closed lower ย by 0.3% and lower by 0.5%, respectively. ย Although clouded by the possible United States (US) government shutdown on Friday, but confidence on the predictibility of the inflation behaviour in the coming months in the country seemed to give ease to risk-hesitate investors.
The JCI is expected to attempt higher also being supported by continued annual trending-up commodities price, as well as improvement of COVID-19 pandemic management profile particularly in the capital city Jakarta. Meanwhile, at yesterday close, the 10-year Indonesia government bonds increased by 6bp (the US counterpart by +3bp)
Yesterday ย the WTI price closed higher by 2% to ย USD75.5/barrel, mostly on demand prospects also as Augustโs data on India oil import hit a three-month peak. Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed ย at IDR14,258 vs. IDR14,250 the previous one.
