The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (12/16) is expected to trade between 6,585pt – 6,700pt likely to clolse in the green also on the back of ย bargain hunters. Meanwhile, yesterday (12/15), Wall Street ended with the DJIA closed higher by 383pt or 1.1% to 35,927pt, and the S&P500 and the Nasdaq Composite also closed higher by 1.6% and 2.2%, respectively.
The JCI yesterday performed on a narrow range but within our estimated one, also on cautious over the US central bank announcement.ย In addition the countryโs November trade surplus is recorded at USD3.5bn (October: USD5.7bn) or lower as compared to a wide estimate of USD4.4bn.ย Today the JCI is expected to share regional positive vibes and ย also be supported by stable and improved condition of COVID-19 ย pandemic indicators in the country.
At the other end, yesterday ย ย the WTI price ย closed higher by 0.2% to USD70.9/barrel ย , mainly supported by the general under-supply condition of the sector, despite news on a rising spread of COVID-19 ย and new variant. Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed ย at IDR14,337 vs. IDR14,348 the previous one.
