The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (7/15) is expected to trade between 6,640pt โ 6,750pt ย to attempt higher and supported by bargain hunters.
ย Yesterday (7/14), Wall Street ended with the DJIA closed lower ย by 143 points or 0.5% to 30,630pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq ย closed lower by 0.3% and higher by 0.03%, respectively.ย Meanwhile, the yield of the US 10-year Treasury note closed higher by 5bp to 2.96%, and the 2-year closed marginally lower at 3.1%. The inversion between the 2-year and 10-year notes on Thursday notched another record dating back to 2000, usually viewed as recession indicator.
ย Yesterday, ย the WTI August deliveryย price closed lower by 0.5% to ย USD95.8/barrel, mainly on fear of higher interest rates in the US. ย Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed ย at IDR14,999 ย vs. IDR14,985 the previous one.
