The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (9/15) is expected to trade between 7,220pt โ7,350pt ย to gain an edge and is supported by bargain hunters. The JCI is expected to respond to Indonesia Augustโs trade data, widely expected to be in a net surplus slightly higher than July (USD4.23bn).
Meanwhile, yesterday (9/14) Wall Street ended with the DJIA closed higher by 30 points or 0.1% to 31,135pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq closed higher by 0.3% and 0.7%, respectively.
On the other end, the yield on the benchmarkย 10-year Treasury noteย closed lower by 1 basis point to 3.41% yesterday, and the 2-year Treasury yield increased by 4 basis points to 3.79%, continuing to be in aย yield-spread inversion trend.
Yesterday, the WTI price closed higher by 2.1% ย at USD89.2/barrel, mainly on higher demand prospects from the segment of gas-to-oil switch given gas supply disruption from Russia. ย Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed atย IDR14,923 vs. IDR14,839 the previous one.
