The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (5/15) is expected to trade between 6,640ptโ6,800pt to attempt higher and be supported by bargain hunters.
The JCI today is expected to be supported by Indonesiaโs trade data for April, scheduled for a release at 11.00 AM. The trade surplus for April is widely expected to be higher than the previous month’s,ย at a consensus figure of around ย USD4.5bn (March: USD2.91bn).
Friday last week (5/12) on Wall Street, the DJIA closed lower by 9 points or 0.0% to 33,301pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq closed lower by 0.2% and 0.4%, respectively. ย ย ย ย The 10-year US Treasury closed higher by 6 basis points at 3.459%. The yield on theย 2-year Treasuryย climbed 9 basis points atย 3.994%.
Friday last week, the price of WTI closed lower by 1.2% to USD70.0/ barrel mainly on demand prospects along on top of the latest rebound of the USD Index. ย ย Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed at IDR14,752 vs. IDR14,722 ย the previous one.
