The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (6/22) is expected to trade between 6,650ptโ€“6,770pt to attempt higher and be supported by bargain hunters. ย The JCI is expected to respond to Indonesiaโ€™s central bank Bank Indonesia announcement on the BI7DRR rate decision, widely estimated to be kept unchanged at 5.75%, following its June policy meeting this afternoon.

 

Meanwhile, yesterday (6/21) on Wall Street, the DJIA closed lower by 102 points or 0.3% to 33,952pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq closed lower by 0.5% and 1.2%, respectively. ย ย The 10-year US Treasury yield was flat at 3.725%.ย  The yield on theย 2-year Treasuryย rose by 1ย  basis point to 4.719%.

 

Yesterday, the price of WTI for August delivery closed lower by 0.1% to USD72.5/ barrel, mainly supported by the latest US crude inventory weekly data, at -1.2mn vs. +300k barrels of estimate. Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed at IDR14,982 vs. IDR15,040 the previous one.
