Headline Inflation at 0.52% Month-on-Month (MoM)

Indonesia’s headline Consumer Price Index (CPI)  for March this year was released by the country’s statistics office Badan Pusat Statistik (Central Statistics Agency) at an MoM rate of  0.52% (February: 0.37%), and a Year-On-Year (YoY) rate of 3.05% (February: 2.75%). The monthly and annual inflation rates for March were slightly higher than the consensus estimate but sit within the target range set by the central bank Bank Indonesia, at 2.5±1% (in Chart 1).
