Stable Double Digit Growth in January

 

Total commercial banks’ credit in January this year was recorded at IDR6,311tr or representing an annual growth of 10.5% (December 2022: 11.4%, December 2021: 5.2%).

On the other end, in January this year, the total Third Party Fund amounted to IDR7,954tr or representing an annual growth of 8.0% (December 2022: 9.0%, December 2021: 12.2%).

The two indicators above underline that progressive moves in business activities have been maintained. Consumers incline to spend while businesses opt to be less risk-averse. Room for safe growth remains, given the Loan-to-Deposit Ratio in January was recorded at 79.34% (December 2022: 78.78%, December 2021: 77.13%).
