The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (8/30) is expected to trade between 6,025pt – 6,175pt likely to gain edge also by support of bargain hunters. Meanwhile, Friday last week (8/27) ย Wall Street ended with the DJIA closed higher by 243 points or 0.7% to 35,456pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq both closed higher by 0.9% and 1.2%, respectively. During the Jackson Hole conference, the Fed chairman stated that the United States (US) central bank expects to reduce bonds purchase this year (1), to keep reference rate unchanged (2), that inflation trend to converge within the target of 2%+ rate during the time frame. These seemed to return investors back to the ย risky equity market.
The JCI today is expected to be in general positive vibes, also on the fact that capital city Jakarta has fulfilled major references of Indonesia Doctors Association to start face-to-face learning in most schools today ย in the city. In addition, stable annual higher commodities price has put domestic economy in a fortunate spot during the pandemic years.
