The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (12/20) is expected to trade between 6,735ptโ 6,840pt to attempt higher and be supported by bargain hunters.ย ย The JCI is expected to be volatile in a narrow range, while traders are cautious of another policy rate hike by central banks both in Asia and other major countries.
Yesterday (12/19), Wall Street ended with the DJIA closed lower by ย 163 points or 0.5% to 32,758pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq closed lower by 0.9% and 1.5%, respectively.
The 10-year US Treasury yield, yesterday rose by 11 basis points at 3.59%, and the yield on the policy-sensitiveย 2-year Treasury rose by 8 basis points at 4.26%.
Yesterday, the price of ย WTI crude closed higher by 1.2% at USD75.2 a barrel, mainly on a technical rebound against the news that US Energy Department to repurchase crude for the Strategic Petroleum Reserve for the first time this year. ย ย The USDIDR ย closed atย IDR15,621 vs. IDR15,617 the previous one.
