The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (10/7) is expected to be in the range of 6,350pt โ 6,425pt following regional leads. Wall Street shares trading was uninspiring yesterday (9/7) with the DJIA, S&P500 and the Nasdaq closed almost unchanged.ย Investors were awaiting the United States central bank chairman Jerome Powell to testify in front of the House Financial Services Committee on Wednesday (today US morning). This comes just after a stronger-than-expected jobs report raised questions about the central bankโs rate policy. The FOMC meeting for the this month will be on July 30 -31.
The JCI today is expected to be supported by stable USDIDR that closed at IDR14.129 yesterday, vs. IDR14.147 previously . In addition, WTI price increase of a significant 1.5% to close at USD58.7/barrel on yesterday trading, is expected to push the JCI higher within our estimated range today.
We keep the following recommendations.
