The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (7/27) is expected to be in the range of 6,050pt โ 6,200pt ย ย likely to gain edge ย and be supported by bargain hunters. ย Meanwhile, yesterday ย (7/26) Wall Street ended with the DJIA closed higher by 83 points or 0.2% to 35,144pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq both closed higher by 0.2% and 0.03% respectively. Juneโs release of the United States (US) ย new home sales recorded a decline of 6.6 YoY % vs. expectation of +3.4% YoY. This and the re-surgence of new variant of Covid-19 also in several other countries have contributed the view that the US central bank to remain dovish.
At the other end, yesterdayย the WTI price closed higher by 0.2% to USD72.1/barrel, mainly supported by supply worries as the US shale sector is expected to catch-up production only slowly for capital discipline. Meanwhile, the USDIDR ย closed ย at IDR14,494 vs. IDR14,501 the previous one.
