The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (3/24) is expected to trade between 6,640ptโ6,780pt to attempt higher and be supported by bargain hunters.
Yesterdayย (3/23) on Wall Street, the DJIA closed higher by 75 points or 0.2% to 32,105pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq closed higher by 0.3% and 1.0%, respectively.ย The US investors yesterday continued responding to theย quarter percentage point interest rate hikeย announced by the Fed on Wednesday (3/22).
The US central bank also signaled that the interest rate hikes, meant to cool inflation,ย could be coming to an end.
Meanwhile, the 10-year United States Treasury yield fell by 10 ย basis points to 3.402%.ย The yield on theย 2-year Treasuryย was last lower by 18 basis points to 3.8%.
Yesterday, the price of WTI decreased by 1.3% to close lower at USD69.9/ barrel, mainly on the oversupply factor on news on an additional release of crude stocks for the USโs SPR ย ย Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed atย IDR15,349 vs. IDR15,364 the previous one.
