The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (11/8) is expected to trade in the range of 6,780 – 6,910 points to attempt higher with the support of bargain hunters.
Meanwhile, yesterday (11/7) on Wall Street, the DJIA closed higher by 57 points or 0.2% to 34,153pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq Composite closed higher by 0.3% and 0.9% respectively. ย Earnings season in the 3Q is marked by 80% of S&P 500 companies have beaten earnings estimates while slowing demand means that only 59% have also topped revenue expectations.
The yield of the 10-year ย US ย Treasury Note fell 9 basis points to 4.573% while the yield on theย 2-year Treasury bond was last trading lower by 3 basis points to 4.911%.
Yesterday, the WTI futures closed lower by 4.3% to USD77.4/barrel, mainly on demand concerns along with the release of export figures from China for October, at an annual drop of 6.4% vs. the consensus estimate of -3.3%. ย ย Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed at IDR15,593 vs. IDR15,550ย the previous one.
