The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (9/29) is expected to trade between 6,870pt to 7,010pt to attempt higher and be supported by bargain hunters.
Meanwhile, yesterday (9/28) on Wall Street, the DJIA closed higher by 388 points or 0.4% to 33,619pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq Composite closed higher by 0.6% and 0.8%, respectively. ย ย Investors are now turning their attention to the latest personal consumption expenditures price index reading due Friday. Economists expect that the core PCE advanced 3.9% year over year in August and gained 0.2% on a monthly basis, according to Dow Jones.
The 10-year US Treasury yield was lower by 5 basis points to 4.577%, its highest level since Oct. 18, 2007, when it yielded as high as 4.570%. ย Similarly, theย 2-year Treasuryย yield fell 8 basis points to 5.06%.
Yesterday, the price of the WTI ย futures declined 2.1% to USD91.7/barrel, mainly on technical retreat following the previous hike to its year-high. Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed at IDR15,526 vs. IDR15,464 the previous one.
