The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (9/5) is expected to trade between 6,950ptโ7,060pt to attempt higher and supported by bargain hunters.
On the other end, Asia-Pacific markets fellย this morning ahead of several releases of inflation data. Thailand and the Philippines are expected to release inflation data today on Tuesday. South Koreaโs inflation rate for August came in higher than expected at 3.4%.ย Investors will also be monitoring purchasing managers’ index readings from China, India, and Hong Kong.
Yesterday (9/4), the price of the WTI ย futures closed higher by 0.3% ย at USD85.8/barrel, mainly supported by the latest data on Chinaโs manufacturing activity for August which is higher than expected. ย ย ย Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed at IDR15,247 vs. IDR15,252 ย the previous one.
