The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (11/15) is expected to trade between 6,950ptโ 7,080pt to attempt higher supported by bargain hunters.
The JCI today is expected to be supported by Indonesiaโs trade data for October, widely estimated to be in the order of net surplus of USD4.4bn (September: a surplus of USD4.99bn). Import in October is mostly expected to annually expand higher than export, in order of, roughly +21% vs. +11%, respectively.
Meanwhile, yesterday ย (11/14) Wall Street ended with the DJIA closed lower by ย 211 ย points or 0.6% to 33,537pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq closed lower by 0.9% and 1.9%, respectively.
The 10-year US Treasury yield, yesterday rose by 4 basis points at 3.872%, and the yield on the policy-sensitiveย 2-year Treasuryย increased by 8 basis points to 4.408%.
Yesterday, the price of ย WTI crude fell by 4.3%, to USD85.2 a barrel, mainly on worries about the demand side following the firmer USD Index and the news on the record high coronavirus cases in major Chinese cities. ย Meanwhile, the USDIDR ย closed atย IDR15,499 vs. IDR15,493 ย the previous one.
