The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (11/15) is expected to trade between 6,950ptโ€“ 7,080pt to attempt higher supported by bargain hunters.

 

The JCI today is expected to be supported by Indonesiaโ€™s trade data for October, widely estimated to be in the order of net surplus of USD4.4bn (September: a surplus of USD4.99bn). Import in October is mostly expected to annually expand higher than export, in order of, roughly +21% vs. +11%, respectively.

Meanwhile, yesterday ย (11/14) Wall Street ended with the DJIA closed lower by ย 211 ย points or 0.6% to 33,537pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq closed lower by 0.9% and 1.9%, respectively.

The 10-year US Treasury yield, yesterday rose by 4 basis points at 3.872%, and the yield on the policy-sensitiveย 2-year Treasuryย increased by 8 basis points to 4.408%.

 

Yesterday, the price of ย WTI crude fell by 4.3%, to USD85.2 a barrel, mainly on worries about the demand side following the firmer USD Index and the news on the record high coronavirus cases in major Chinese cities. ย Meanwhile, the USDIDR ย closed atย  IDR15,499 vs. IDR15,493 ย the previous one.
