Morning,

The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (12/13) is expected to trade in the range of 7,060 – 7,210 points to attempt higher with the support of bargain hunters.

Meanwhile, yesterday (12/12) on Wall Street, the DJIA closed higher by 173 points or 0.5% to 36,578 points, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq Composite closed higher by 0.5% and 0.7% respectively.

The US consumer price index, a closely watched inflation gauge, increased 0.1% in November and was up 3.1% from a year ago. Economists surveyed by Dow Jones had been looking for no gain and a yearly rate of 3.1%.

The yield of the 10-year ย US ย Treasury Note was lower by 3 basis points to 4.206%, while the yield on theย 2-year Treasury bond was trading lower by 1 basis point to 4.73%.

Yesterday, the WTI futures contract for January closed lower by 3.8% at USD68.6/barrel, mainly as the latest US CPI data is being perceived as a sign of longer-for-higher policy for the countryโ€™s central bank. Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed at IDR15,614 vs. IDR15,500 the previous one.

Cheers,
