The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (13/6) is expected to continue muted at the range of 6,240pt โ 6,310pt with investors for Indonesia equities counting in uncertainties on global growth as well as political risks.
Overnight (12/6) on Wall Street, theย Dow Jones Industrial Average slipped 44pt to close at 26,0045pt while the S&P 500 ended its trading day 0.2% lower at 2,880pt. Theย Nasdaq Compositeย lagged, sliding 0.4% to close at 7,793pt. The WTI ย price was steadied at USD51.3/barrel yesterday, after plunging by 4% in the previous close following the increase US crude inventories for two consecutive weeks.
Investors will continue to ย watch out for market reaction from Hong Kongโsย Hang Seng index, down by some 0.6% during opening today. It closed 1.73% lower on Wednesday (12/6), having lost as much as 2% in the afternoon, amidย violent clashes between protesters and riot police over a controversial extradition bill. Hong Kong parliament will vote on the bill on June 20.
In the meantime, the JCI is expected to hang on around our estimated support level, also maintained by stable USIDR which was closed at IDR14,234 vs. IDR14,258 previously, in our view.
We keep the following recommendations.
