The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (12/14) is expected to trade between 6,610pt – 6,720pt to ย stick around also on the back of ย bargain hunters. Meanwhile, yesterday (12/13), Wall Street ended with the DJIA closed lower by 320pt or 0.6% to 35,651pt, and the S&P500 and the Nasdaq Composite also closed lower by 0.9% and 1.4%, respectively. The yield of theย benchmark 10-year US Treasury note dipped by relatively huge of 7bp, cautious on the US central bank decision on the speed and amount of monetary tightening, to be announced Wednesday.
The JCI yesterday performed as expected and closed in the green by 0.2% higher, mainly supported by domestic funds with total value of IDR12.1tr or lower than the daily average ย while foreign funds booked a net Sell of a moderate IDR659.1bn. ย At the other end, the latest data of daily positivity rates for COVID-19 new cases in the centre of commerce Jakarta city stands at 0.1%, a record of new low.
At the other end, yesterday ย ย the WTI price ย closed lower by 0.3% to USD71.3/barrel ย , mainly supported by the OPEC statement that the impact of COVID-19 new variant omicron to the demand side is limited. Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed ย at IDR14,346 vs. IDR14,378 the previous one.
