The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (3/13) is expected to trade in the range of ย 7,320 – 7,460 points to attempt higher with the support of bargain hunters.

 

Meanwhile, yesterdayย  (3/12) on Wall Street, the DJIA closed higher by 236 points or 0.61% ย to ย 39,006 points. The S&P500 and the Nasdaq Composite closed higher by 1.12% and 1.54%, respectively.

The US consumer price index, released yesterday, increased 0.4% for the month and 3.2% from a year ago. The monthly measure was in line with expectations while the 12-month reading was slightly higher. The core CPI rose 0.4% on the month and was up 3.8% on the year. Both were one-tenth of a percentage point higher than forecast.

 

Yesterday, the yield of the 10-yearย  USย  Treasury rose by 6 basis points at 4.158%. Theย 2-year Treasuryย yield gained 7 ย basis points to 4.6%.

 

Yesterday, ย the WTI futures contract for April lost 0.47% at USD77.56/barrel, mainly supported by the latest sector report by the cartel OPEC+ that implied a deficit this year. Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed at IDR15,603 vs. IDR15,658.
