The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (4/26) is expected to trade between 6,725ptโ6,860pt to hold ground and be supported by bargain hunters.
Despite external volatilities, the JCI is expected to be supported by upbeat consumer vibes. Week-long Eid holiday that ended yesterday should give witness to robust domestic consumersโ composure. Crowds have flocked the capital city Jakarta and the surrounding areas in spots like malls, ย recreational areas, and airports, for example.
Yesterday (4/25) on Wall Street, the DJIA closed lower by 345 points or 1.0% to 33,531pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq closed lower by 1.6% and 2.0%, respectively.
Meanwhile, the 10-year US Treasury was trading lower by 12 basis points to 3.4%.ย The yield on theย 2-year Treasuryย was last down by 20 basis points atย 3.944%.
Yesterday, the price of WTI closed lower by 2.2% at USD77.1/ barrel, mainly on the back of the rebounding USD Index.ย Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed at IDR14,855 vs. IDR14,773 the previous one.
