The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (4/7) is expected to be in the range of 5,950pt โ 6,100pt, ย to fluctuate and to incline higher also be supported by bargain hunters ย Meanwhile, yesterday (4/6), the DJIA closed lower by ย 97 points or 0.3% to 33,430pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq ended lower by 0.1% and 0.05%, respectively.
The JCI closed in the green zone yeaterday, off its day-lowest of 6,044pt, and foreign outflow in the stock market ย was recorded at a relatively slowing ย rate at IDR98bn. Today, for shorter-term dynamic of the market, traders may cheer on meaningful decline of daily COVID-19 new cases in the Jakarta capital city (1), easing-off of the 10 year Treasury Note yield to below its peak of 1.7% last week (2), a more clear path to expect of the oil-price as world economic recovery is also more evident (3). In the latest update of April release, the International Monetary Fund has revised upward the estimated global growth into 6.0% YoY this year vs. 5.5% YoY in January.
At the other end, yesterday ย the WTI price ended higher ย by ย 1.2% to USD59.3/barrel , mainly on better prospect of estimated demand, also by China data on services activities that was released at its 3-month high. ย ย ย ย ย ย Meanwhile, the USDIDR ย closedย at IDR14,519 vs. IDR14,533 the previous one.
