The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (4/13) is expected to trade between 6,740ptโ6,880ptto attempt higher and be supported by bargain hunters.
Yesterday (4/12) on Wall Street, the DJIA closed lower by 38 points or 0.1% to 33,646pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq closed lower by 0.4% and 0.9%, respectively. ย Yesterday, Wall Street also responded on the US consumer price index, +ย 0.1% in March on a month-over-month basis (vs. estimate of +0.2%). Year over year, the CPI rose 5% (February: 6.0% YoY) ย while economists had forecast a 5.1% advance.
Meanwhile, the 10-year US Treasury yield fell by 3 basis points to 3.404%.ย The yield on theย 2-year Treasuryย declined by 9 basis points at 3.968%.
Yesterday, the price of WTI closed higher by 2.1% at USD83.3/ barrel, also supported by thinning-more-than-expected oil inventories in the US.ย Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed atย IDR14,866 vs. IDR14,888 the previous one.
