The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (6/20) is expected to trade between 6,860pt โ 7,000pt ย to attempt higher and supported by bargain hunters. The upside of the JCI today is expected to be restrained by wait-and-see position amid slightly weakening USDIDR. The central bank Bank Indonesia is scheduled to hold its monthly monetary stance meeting this week (6/23).ย Meanwhile, the yield on the 10-year Indonesia government bonds closed higher by 6bp at 7.47% Friday.
Wall Street Friday ย (6/17) ended with the DJIA closed lower ย by 38pt, or 0.1% to 29,889pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq closed higher by 0.2% and 1.4%, respectively. Meanwhile, the 10-year Treasury yield closed lower by ย 8bp to 3.226%.
Friday last week ย the WTIย price closed lower by 6.8% to ย USD109.6/barrel, mainly on pressure from the USD index following the 75bp hike of interest rate by the Federal Reserve, the highest increase in a single meeting since 1994. ย Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed ย at IDR14,828 vs. IDR14,741 ย the previous one.
