ย The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (8/11) is expected to trade between 7,040pt โ€“7,200pt ย to attempt higher and supported by bargain hunters. ย The JCI is expected to join regional positive vibes.ย 

 

Meanwhile, yesterday (8/10) Wall Street ended with the DJIA closed higher by 535 points or 1.6% to 33,310pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq closed higher by 2.1% and 0%, respectively.ย The consumer price indexย rose 8.5% in Julyย from a year ago, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, to kicked ย a downtrend since May and lighter than a Dow Jones estimate of 8.7%.

 

At the other end, the yield on the benchmarkย 10-year Treasury noteย closed lower at 2.79%, and the 2-year Treasury yield dropped 6 basis points at 3.224%, continuing to be in a spread-inversion trend.

 

Yesterday, ย the WTI price closed higher by 0.9% to ย USD90.5/barrel, mainly on demand prospect in the 2H22, based on a Reuters review of company earnings callsย  . Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed ย at ย IDR14,875 vs. IDR14,862 the previous one.
