The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (2/8) is expected to be in the range of 6,315pt โ 6,400pt with selling pressure likely arise from danger of slowing global trade.ย Yesterday (1/8) the United States (US), president Donald Trump stated that the US will impose tariff of 10% on China goods worth USD300bn, start on 1/9.ย This additional tariff was decided during currently on-going trade negotiation between the US and China.ย The DJIA closed down by 281pts or 1.1% to 26,583pt, while S&P500 and the Nasdaq ended down by 09% and 0.8% respectively.
At the other end , USDIDR closed at IDR14,098 yesterdayย vs. IDR14,026 previously, and the WTI to have closed down by 7.9% to USD53.9/barrel, lowest in four years.
We keep the following recommendations.
