The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (12/1) is expected to trade between 7,050ptโ 7,170pt to gain an edge with the support of bargain hunters.
The JCI today is expected to follow the positive regional leads after the United States (US) central bankโs chairmanโs speech yesterday (11/30) at the Brookings Institution.
In addition, the JCI is expected to respond favorably to the release of Indonesiaโs inflation data for November, widely estimated to be a headline rate of about 5.5% YoY (October: 5.71% YoY, September: 5.95% YoY).
Meanwhile,ย yesterday, Wall Street ended with the DJIA closed higher by ย 737ย points or 2.2% to 34,590pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq closed higher by 3.1% and 4.4%, respectively.
The 10-year US Treasury yield, yesterday fell by 12 basis points at 3.633%, and the yield on the policy-sensitiveย 2-year Treasury declined by 13 basis points at 4.35%.
Yesterday, the price of ย WTI crude closed higher by 3.0%, to USD80.6 a barrel, mainly on fear of supply restrictions along with the latest weekly data of US crude stock, a decline of 13mn barrels or the most since 2019. Meanwhile, the USDIDR ย closed atย IDR15,742 vs. IDR15,737 the previous one.
