The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (12/1) is expected to trade between 7,050ptโ€“ 7,170pt to gain an edge with the support of bargain hunters.

The JCI today is expected to follow the positive regional leads after the United States (US) central bankโ€™s chairmanโ€™s speech yesterday (11/30) at the Brookings Institution.

In addition, the JCI is expected to respond favorably to the release of Indonesiaโ€™s inflation data for November, widely estimated to be a headline rate of about 5.5% YoY (October: 5.71% YoY, September: 5.95% YoY).

 

Meanwhile,ย  yesterday, Wall Street ended with the DJIA closed higher by ย 737ย  points or 2.2% to 34,590pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq closed higher by 3.1% and 4.4%, respectively.

The 10-year US Treasury yield, yesterday fell by 12 basis points at 3.633%, and the yield on the policy-sensitiveย 2-year Treasury declined by 13 basis points at 4.35%.

Yesterday, the price of ย WTI crude closed higher by 3.0%, to USD80.6 a barrel, mainly on fear of supply restrictions along with the latest weekly data of US crude stock, a decline of 13mn barrels or the most since 2019. Meanwhile, the USDIDR ย closed atย  IDR15,742 vs. IDR15,737 the previous one.
