The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (2/13) is expected to trade in the range of ย 7,210 – 7,310 points to attempt higher with the support of bargain hunters.

 

Meanwhile, yesterday ย (2/12) on Wall Street, the DJIA closed higher by 126 points or 0.33% to 38,797 points, a record close. The S&P500 and the Nasdaq Composite closed lower by 0.09% and 0.3%, respectively.

Investors will now look to the USโ€™s January consumer price index report for the latest read on price pressures, due Tuesday morning.ย Headline inflation is expected to have increased 0.2% month over month and 2.9% from a year earlier, according to economists polled by Dow Jones.

Updates to the US consumer price index showed that the broad basket of goods and services measured increased 0.2% on the month, less than the originally reported 0.3%, the Labor Departmentโ€™s Bureau of Labor Statistics said.

 

The yield of the 10-year ย US ย Treasury was last down by 3 basis points at ย 4.173%, while the yield on theย 2-year Treasury bond declined by 1 basis point to 4.47%.

Yesterday, the WTI futures contract for March lost 0.1% to USD76.84/barrel, mainly supported by supply concerns along with the latest geopolitic development in Gaza and the Middle East. ย Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed at IDR15,612 vs. IDR15,685 the previous one.
