ย The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (2/7) is expected to trade between 6,685pt – 6,810pt ย to gain edge and ย supported by ย bargain hunters. ย The JCI today is expected to response on the countryโ€™s last yearโ€™s GDP growth data release.ย  Nevertheless, latest position of COVID-19 status in Jakarta city at its year-high 26.2% is expected to limit the JCI upside.ย Meanwhile, Friday last week the JCI performed better than our expectation, although still within the estimated range.ย  BBRI FY21 ย financial release last week uplifted the general mood, with gross credit grew by ย 5.4% YoY (much higher as compared to the sector) ย to IDR994tr, while allowance for ย bad-debt was put at a growth rate of 27%. BBRI is also considered Indonesia economy proxy.

 

Meanwhile, Wall Street Friday last week (2/4) ย ended with the DJIA closed lower by 21pt, or 0.06% to 35,090pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq Composite both closed higher by 0.5% and 1.6%, respectively.

 

At the other end, last week ย the WTI ย price closed higher by 2.2% to USD92.3/barrel,highest on concer of tight supply also as outage occurred in the Permian Basin, the largest US shale play. ย Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed ย at IDR14,376 vs. IDR14,381 ย the previous one.
