The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (1/10) is expected to trade in the range of ย 7,160 – 7,290 points to attempt higher with the support of bargain hunters.

 

Meanwhile, yesterday (1/9) on Wall Street, the DJIA closed lower by 158 points or 0.42% to 37,525 points, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq Composite closed lower by 0.15% and higher by 0.09%, respectively.

 

The yield of the 10-year ย US ย Treasury note was last trading in the flatline of ย 4.011%, while the yield on theย 2-year Treasury bond was higher by 2 basis points at 4.362%.

 

 

Yesterday, the WTI futures contract for February closed higher by 2.1%% at USD72.2/barrel, the Israeli military has said its fight against Hamas will continue through 2024, worrying markets that the conflict could disrupt oily supply from the Middle East. ย  Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed at IDR15,518 vs. IDR15,522 the previous one.
