The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (1/27) is expected to be in the range of 6,100pt – 6,200pt to attempt higher amid negative news on COVID-19 new cases domestic daily rise, by support of bargain hunters.   Meanwhile, yesterday (1/26)  the DJIA closed lower by 23 points or by 0.1% to 30,937 pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq both ended lower by 0.2% and  by 0.07%, respectively.

At the other end, yesterday the WTI price closed lower  by 0.6% to USD52.5/barrel as compared  to the previous close, mainly on a blast in the Saudi Arabian capital Riyadh, the cause of which remains unclear. Saudi Arabia, with daily crude oil production of 9.8mn bpd,  is the most- influential among the founding-member countries of OPEC.  OPEC member countries, now plus allies, is currently the institution that largely move the world oil-price.   Meanwhile, the USDIDR  closed  at IDR14,086  vs. IDR14,082 the previous one.
