Morning,

The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (1/27) is expected to trade between 6,560pt – 6,680pt ย to possibly stay in the green zone and ย be supported ย bargain hunters and stable higher commodity prices.

 

Meanwhile, yesterday (1/26), ย Wall Street ย ended with the DJIA closed lower by 130pt, or 0.4% at 34,168pt, ย while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq Composite closed lower by 0.2% and higher by 0.02%, respectively. As widely expected, the Fed plans to finish bonds taper in March and at the same time to start the first rate increase, while planning a balance-sheet reduction currently at a USD9tr of assets holding. The yield 10-year US Treasury note closed relatively high of 8bp to 1.86% yesterday.

 

At the other end, yesterday ย the WTI price closed higher by 2.0% to USD87.4/barrel, ย mainly triggered by fear of supply disruption along with geopolitical risks that built-up also around the Russia and Ukranian conflict. ย ย Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed ย at IDR14,346 vs. IDR14,358 ย the previous one.
