The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (1/6) is expected to trade between 6,590ptโ 6,730pt to attempt higher and be supported by bargain hunters.
Yesterday (1/5) on Wall Street, the DJIA closed lower by 340 points or 1.0% to 32,930pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq closed lower by 1.2% and 1.5%, respectively.
The 10-year US Treasury yield yesterday gained nearly 1 basis point at 3.713%, and the yield on the policy-sensitiveย 2-year Treasury last traded 6.8 basis points higher at around 4.458%.
Yesterday, the price of ย WTI crude was up 1.8% to close at USD74.1 a barrel, mainly on demand prospect along with the latest weekly data on the US distillate stockpile, at -1.4mn barrels vs. an estimate of -396k barrels.ย The USDIDR closed atย IDR15,610 vs. IDR15,615 the previous one.
