The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (7/12) is expected to trade between 6,720ptβ6,850pt to gain an edge in support of bargain hunters.
Meanwhile, yesterday (7/11) on Wall Street, the DJIA closed higher by 317 points or 0.9% to 34,261pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq closed higher by 0.7% and 0.6%, respectively. Β Traders are in monitor for the US inflation data for June. Economists polled by Dow Jones anticipate the closely followed inflation indicator will rise 0.3% from May and 3.1% on an annualized basis (May: 4.0%).
The 10-year US Treasury yield was lower by 3 basis points at 3.98%.Β The yield on theΒ 2-year Treasury rose by 2 basis points at 4.89%.
Yesterday, the price of WTI Β closed higher by 2.5% at USD74.8/ barrel, mainly on demand issues along with the news that severalΒ Federal ReserveΒ officials signaled theΒ US central bank was near the end of its tightening cycle. Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed at IDR15,162 vs. IDR15,192 the previous one.
