The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (7/15) is expected to be in the range of 5,925pt โ 6,050pt ย ย likely to hover in the sideways and be supported by bargain hunters. ย Meanwhile, yesterday (7/14) Wall Street ended with the DJIA closed higher by 44 points or 0.1% to 34,933pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq closed higher by 0.1% and lower by 0.2%, respectively.
Today Indonesia central statistic office is scheduled to release the countryโs export-import data for the the month of June.ย The release should help support the JCI dynamic today. Mainly on the trending-up of world commodity prices, the country has ย recorded a surplus trade balance this and last year. During January to May this year, Indonesia trade surplus balance amounted to USD10.2bn (Jan โ May 2020: USD4.2bn).
At the other end, yesterdayย ย the WTI price closed lower by 2.8% to USD73.1/barrel, also on news that Saudi Arabia and UAE agreed to increase its baseline productions. ย ย Meanwhile, last week the USDIDR ย closed ย at IDR14,493 vs. IDR14,486 the previous one.
