The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (11/9) is expected to be in the range of 5,285pt โ 5,400pt, to extend gain ย and ย be supported by sound financial and bank system.
Meanwhile, Friday last week (11/6) the DJIA closed lower ย by ย 67 points or 0.2% to 28,323pt, while the ย S&P500 and the Nasdaq ended almost unchanged, by -1 point and +4 points, respectively. The new US President-elect announced on 11/7 is Joe Bidden of Democratic Party, and stakeholders need to wait until after January 5th ย to see who eventually win the seats in the US parliament. At present, the Republican holds majoritiy seat of 53 to 47.

Yesterday , capital city Jakarta governor Anies Baswedan decided to continue the transisitional large scale social distancing (PSBB) for another 2 (two) weeks into November 22. The decision was made amid slighlty improving trend of new daily COVID-19 cases in the Jakarta city.ย In the last 7-days, the Positivity Rates (PR) of new cases, excluding outlier figure on 11/1 of 14.8%, the weekly average of PR pointed to 9.1%. This figure is lower as compared to the previous two-weeksโ average of ย some ย 9.9%, and lower-than-the preceeding weeks of around 11%-13%. ย Jakarta city is of the largest contributor of COVID-19 virus case to national counts, followed by Central Java, East Java, and West Java in descending order. At present, a controllable of new virus spread and a well-cared ill patients of COVID-19 is the only necessary condition, so to speak, for a better-speeding economic recovery, in our observe.
