The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (6/17) is expected to be in the range of 6,000pt โ 6,150pt ย ย likely to fluctuate and be supported by bargain hunters.ย Meanwhile, yesterday ย (6/16), the DJIA closed lower by ย 266 points or 0.8% to 34,034pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq ย ended lower by 0.5% and 0.2%, respectively.
The JCI is expected to hold on pressures also on the US central bank the Fed forecast ofย higher interest rates for the country. Meanwhile, Indonesia central bank Bank Indonesia (BI)ย is expected to announce its monetary policy stance this afternoon. Market participants’ is in consensus that BI, given the current the situation, to maintain existing reference BI7D-RR at 3.5%.
