The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (3/4) is expected to trade in the range of ย 7,250 – 7,390 points to attempt higher with the support of bargain hunters.
Meanwhile, on Friday last weekย (3/1) on Wall Street, the DJIA closed higher by 91 points or 0.23% ย to ย 39,087 ย points. The S&P500 and the Nasdaq Composite closed higher by 0.80% and 1.14%, respectively.
The USย University of Michiganโs sentiment index for February, released Friday,ย came in at 76.9 points, below a Dow Jones estimate of 79.6, and lower than the January reading of 79 point index.
Friday, the yield of the 10-yearย USย Treasury dropped by 6 basis points at 4.188%. Theย 2-year Treasuryย yield declined by 10 ย basis points at 4.538%.
Last week (3/1), ย the WTI futures contract for April gained by 2.19% at USD79.97/barrel, mainly on supply concerns along with the reported news that OPEC+members plan to extend the current production cut into the end of the 2Q and into the end of the year (vs. previously end of March). ย Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed at IDR15,696 vs. IDR15,715 the previous one.
