The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (3/6) is expected to trade between 6,775ptโ6,900pt to attempt higher and be supported by bargain hunters.
Meanwhile, Friday last week ย (3/3) on Wall Street, the DJIA closed higher by 387 points or 1.2% to 33,391pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq closed higher by 1.6% and 2.0%, respectively.
The US stocks rose Friday as Treasury yields eased from their recent highs and this is perceived by investors that the cumulative impact from Fed hikes is already being absorbed by the economy.
Last week, the 10-year United States Treasury yield closed lower by 10 ย basis points at 3.969%.ย The yield on the policy-sensitiveย 2-year Treasury fell 1 basis point at 4.863%.
Friday, the price of WTI gained by 1.3% to USD79.2/ barrel, mainly driven by news of Saudi Arabia eluded earlier report that the country was leaving OPEC for a higher production level.ย Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed atย IDR15,306 vs. IDR15,270 the previous one.
