The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (11/11) is expected to trade between 6,600pt – 6,720pt to ย hold support ย also on the back of ย bargain hunters. Meanwhile, yesterday (11/9) Wall Street ended with the DJIA closed lower by 240pt ย or 0.7% to 36,080pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq both ย closed lower by 0.8% and by 1.7%, respectively. During yesterday close, the yield of 10-year Treasury notes jumped by 12bp, while that of Indonesian counterpart declined by 8bp.
The JCI is expected to be volatile in the very short term, ย to wait for some stability in the bond markets ย that should follow once earnings and economic growth prospect for next year is adjusted to account the last data.
At the other end, yesterday the WTI price ย closed lower by 1.5% ย to ย USD82.9/barrel , mainly on weekly the US crude inventory data release from the EIA that noted a 1mn barrels increase, contrary to that of APIsโ data on Tuesday that indicated a surprise drop. ย Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed ย at IDR14,253 vs. IDR14,233 the previous one.
