The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (11/10) is expected to trade between 6,620pt – 6,730pt to stick around also on the back of ย bargain hunters. Meanwhile, yesterday (11/9) Wall Street ended with the DJIA closed lower by 112pt ย or 0.3% to 36,320pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq both ย closed lower by 0.4% and by 0.6%, respectively. The US financial market is in cautious to see the countryโs October inflation release, scheduled for today. The US Septemberโs inflation rate increased to a 13-year high of 5.4% YoY.
Yesterday ย the JCI ย performed as in our and consensus trading range while managed to confront foreign total trading net sell of IDR1.4tr and closed higher at the upper range, by 0.6% against the previous close.ย Today the Jakarta equity market is expected to have the similar jitter with that of the US market. Should the US Octoberโs inflation rate is viewed to trigger the countryโs central bank to speed-up tightening, funds outflow from the domestic market may be more massive than expected, we view.
At the other end, yesterday the WTI price ย closed higher by 2.7% ย to ย USD84.2/barrel , mainly on higher demand prospect also on the news that the US lifts more travel restrictions. ย Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed ย at IDR14,233 vs. IDR14,268 the previous one.
