* 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐉𝐂𝐈 𝐢𝐬 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐨 𝐨𝐧 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐢𝐥-𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞

Morning,

The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (3/8) is expected to be in the range of 6,200pt – 6,375pt to incline higher also to share positive regional mood.  In addition, national COVID-19 new daily cases have been reported in a declining trend, and capital city Jakarta has existed the red-zone area.  A reading on the Jakarta Positivity Rates data showed the last 14-day average of 14.3%, meaningfully lower as compared to the previous-weeks’ average  of above 20%.

Meanwhile, Friday last week (3/5) in Wall Street,   the DJIA closed higher by 572points or by 1.9% to 31,496pt, while S&P 500 and the Nasdaq closed higher by 2.0% and by  1.6%, respectively.

At the other end, last week (3/5)  the WTI price closed higher by  3.5% atUSD66.1/barrel  , mainly on the better-than-expected US job data. Furthermore, the decicion of OPEC+ latest meeting (3/4) to maintain supply curb despite trending-up oil price added to the positive sentiment.  Meanwhile, the USDIDR  closed  at IDR14,371 vs. IDR14,299 the previous one.
